Mindfulness Practices for Synchronizing Body and Mind
Friday, January 26 from 2:00pm - 3:30pm at the Buck Recreation Center, 2004 W. Powers Ave in Littleton. This educational opportunity is eligible for 0.1 NASM CEU and/or 1 AFAA CEU. Registration fee is $25/person.
This workshop will explore:
- The view and purpose of training in mindfulness
- The methods of stabilizing attention, clarifying the mind, and deepening awareness of body, thoughts, and emotions
- The potential results of incorporating mindfulness into fitness classes and one-on-one sessions with clients
Instructor Bio:
Janet Solyntjes, MA, is the co-founder of the Center for Courageous Living and is a Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, leading mindfulness meditation programs and retreats since 1996. She has served on the faculty of Naropa University, the Center for Mindfulness, the Engaged Mindfulness Institute, and Mindful Leader. Her current work includes mentoring and training meditation teachers as well as working with holistic healthcare at Sensei Wellness Resorts.
