This four-month series looks at the future of the parks and recreation workforce through a part-education, part-conversation series. For one flat fee, you can attend all 4 of these webinars which will take place on Zoom. The Zoom link and password will be provided in your registration confirmation. A link to each webinar recording will be emailed to registered participants following the live event.

  1. Webinar 2 - Recruitment Strategies

    • Description - Join us to discuss recruitment strategies for parks and recreation agencies. In this webinar we will look at how we’re adjusting and adapting to the desires of a new generation of workers and implementing flexibility in working conditions to satisfy employee expectations. Following changes in recruitment strategies, we’ll take a deeper look at budgeting, with a special focus on budget restrictions in smaller agencies and breakout discussions based on your agency size/budget.

  1. Webinar 3 - Developing From Within: Supporting Emerging Leaders

    • Description - What are we doing to identify and cultivate skills for emerging leaders? This webinar will look at how we are supporting park and recreation staff within our agencies to become the leaders of tomorrow. We’ll look at strategies for developing professional skills and ways to encourage and embrace those seeking more responsibility. We’ll also take a look at various professional development opportunities, including a statewide Leadership Academy or certification programs.
