Description
The Facility Management Section is hosting a 3-hour workshop at Bison Ridge Recreation Center in Commerce City on Monday, December 7th. This event will start at 1:00pm and will include continuing education units. (CEU total is pending at this time.) Light refreshments will be provided.
The workshop, "Stress, Resiliency, and Balloon Animals: Workplace Wellness through Happiness and Laughter" will be presented by Michael Bork, Director, Parks, Recreation, and Public Services - City of Laramie.
Workshop Description:
This highly interactive worshop explores dimensions of workplace stress, different ways stress affects us mentally and physically, and how we can learn more about stress through balloon animals. Within this workshop, we will also explore resiliency and optimism, and what those terms means in positive psychology.
The explorative workshop finishes strong, with participants taking part in a modified Laughter Yoga session, where we laugh with no jokes or humor, just laughter done as an exercise, combined with deep breathing techniques. People will leave energized, less stressed, and will have practical tools they can use to reduce their stress levels.
