You're invited to the AAPS Fall Wrap Up happening on Thursday, October 27th at the Northglenn Recreation Center! This event will include an Idea Exchange & Roundtable Discussion, brunch, facility tour of the Northglenn Recreation Center, an education session worth 0.1 CEUs, plus a Halloween costume contest & raffle! Registration deadline is Monday, October 24th at 12pm.
9:30am-11:00am: Idea Exchange/Roundtable Discussion
11:00am-12:00pm: Brunch (included in registration fee)
12:00pm-12:30pm: Facility Tour
12:30pm-1:45pm: "Hosting Volunteers: The Great, The Bad, The Worst" presented by Mark Snow
1:45pm-2:00pm: Costume Contest & Raffle
Education Session Information:
"Hosting Volunteers: The Great, The Bad, The Worst"
Volunteers bring immense value to our organizations. They coach our youth sports, they teach our classes, they help run our events, they keep our parks clean, they serve on advisory boards. And while great volunteers enhance our programs, bad volunteers consume our time, energy, and effort. How do you set volunteers up for success? Weed out the bad ones? Cultivate and keep around the good ones? This session will review ways to find, screen, engage and grow volunteers in your program. We will also review ways to reset or divest volunteers that detract from our mission and services.
