Join the Active Adults Programming & Services (AAPS) Section for their Spring Workshop on Thursday, April 25th at the Trail Winds Recreation Center in Thornton!
This workshop will include two sessions, roundtable discussions, a facility tour, and a boxed lunch. Each session is worth 0.1 CEUs.
The first session titled, "Wilderness Safety" will focus on safety & aging while recreating outdoors (to include Leave No Trace principles & attaining group permits) with speaker William Restrepo, DNR Park Ranger from Barr Lake State Park.
The second session titled "Mind & Body Programming... One Size Fits All?" will discuss mind & body wellness connected programs that focus on the unique needs of the active aging population presented by Lexi Bulich, Community Fitness Programs Supervisor, City of Lafayette, Parks, Recreation & Open Space.
