AAPS Aloha to Summer Event! Join the AAPS Section for their summer educational & networking event happening on Tuesday, June 25th at the East Boulder Community Center.   

Session Topic (worth 0.1 CEUs): Level Up and Launch – Finding Ways to Up Your Game

Speaker: Jo Burns, Chief Connection & Collaboration Officer of Jo Burns Connects

Description: Change is inevitable…Drama is optional. Get your gaming cap on – we’re going to explore the fun and challenges of serving the 50+ folks in our community and upping our professional game. (Note – no actual video games will be played 😉). We're taking it a leap and digging a little deeper looking at bridging gaps in your community, programming, and leveling up your career . Come join us for this highly interactive workshop utilizing multiple facilitation techniques to level up your innovation, creativity, and professional “game”.

Here's the topics areas we’ll explore: 

• Bridging the gaps: Looking at the gaps between services provided in parks and rec and service organizations and/or how do you bridge the generational divide amongst the 50 and up crowd
• Programming Innovation: Take off your programming hat and let your innovation run amok
• Leveling up your Career: 10 ways to up your professional game

Learning Outcomes:

• Define at least 3 gaps in services across the generations served by active adult centers
• Identify 3 different types of innovation
• List at least 3 tools to up their professional game

Lunch: Provided by Mod Market (included in registration)

• Use of the word "senior" in titles, center names, etc.
