Join the Fitness Section on Saturday, April 12th for The Magic of Music, Motivation and Movement Workshop taught by Suzi Shankweiler, CPT, Fitness & Wellness Supervisor for Carbon Valley Parks & Recreation District. The workshop will take place at the Carbon Valley Community Center! 

2 CEUs provided through AFAA.

Session Description -

This workshop is designed to help group fitness instructors learn or improve on their teaching skills to create a fun, safe and successful class experience. With a focus on preparation, connection, music and cueing, safety, timing skills and keeping classes fresh and avoiding boredom and burnout. Instructors will practice the importance of proper cueing and how this relates to ‘making or breaking your class.’ There will be practical application for recognizing rhythm and improving verbal and non-verbal cueing to include the discussion of late cues, cueing to different learning styles, cueing without negative language, mirror cueing and more!
